how to orderTo make a purchase, browse
through the catalogue, click on any items that you wish to buy,
select the items you wish to purchase and then press the order
button. The item will then be placed in your shopping basket. After
you have finished shopping, click on 'checkout' and you will be
asked to complete a few details that we need to complete your order.
After we receive your order we will telephone you to confirm the
details and take your credit/debit card information. We reserve the
right not to process your order and accordingly we will notify you
promptly by electronic mail/telephone if this is the case.

These terms and conditions apply to your use of the Shades of Light website. Please read these terms and conditions carefully. If you access the website and/or place an order, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions please do not use the website.
prices and paymentAll prices on the
the-lighting-shop.co.uk website (the website) are shown in pounds
sterling (£) . Payment can be made by the following credit/debit cards
- visa/delta, mastercard and switch. All orders must
be placed through the checkout system of the website or, alternatively,
you can ring the shop direct. After we receive your
order we will telephone you for your card details
and to confirm your order. Prices are valid as as date
of ordering. Subsequent price changes will be confirmed with the customer prior
to payment.
Delivery On receipt of your order
we will confirm to you availability and give you an estimate of
the timescale involved for delivery. We deliver anywhere in
mainland UK. The cost of delivery is £15 sterling. Orders are sent by either
Parceline or Target, which require a signature upon receipt.
Please provide a delivery address where someone can sign for the
goods. For delivery outside mainland UK please contact us for
details.
stock availabilityAs mentioned
above, once an order is placed we will let you know the
approximate delivery time. If the item you want is out of stock
you will be contacted via your email address/telephone to give an
accurate delivery date or advise on an alternative item.
returns and exchanges
You can cancel your orders without reason, within 7
working days from the day after the day you received the goods.
You will be refunded any amount you have been charged. However,
in the event the goods have been delivered or despatched to you
prior to cancellation, you must return the goods to us, and pay
the costs of returning the items. Any goods returned must be
received by us in the same condition and, as far as possible, in
the same packaging as when they were delivered to you.
If you would like an exchange/alternative
then please specify item code or telephone the shop for
assistance.
It is vital to
obtain a proof of postage certificate when returning goods as we
cannot be held responsible for goods lost in transit to us.
Nothing in
these conditions affects your statutory rights as a
consumer.
